AN EXCELLENT MOVE

SPSA can only benefit by removing politicians and politics from control of SPSA decisions. It looks like America is slowly waking up to the fact that people with responsible business experience are far superior to small town politicos whose effort can be mainly directed toward reelection and grasping for earmarks benefiting their particular borough. SPSA may still be headed for demolition but has a better chance at survival under the guidance of persons used to
facing problems of personnel, marketing and competition. We hope the new faces on the board will get cooperation and the support of both political parties and all city administrations.

Private sector to bail out SPSA? That's very nice but the politicos like Bennett and nit wits went on trips, etc and put the cost their stupidity squarely on the shoulders of the private sector. Unless the politicos are brought to justice once the problems of SPSA if corrected they will be back just like it never happened.

That the Lord that Jeff Gardy and his fellow SPSA Board members will soon disband. Jeff is a person that I could see as a distant Uncle, but is not one I would put in charge of my checkbook! Nice guy, but a total lack of talent or business ability. Now Jeff will be abel to spend more time with his law partner, the mayor's husband. Maybe they can find out new ways to use the family transfer law to get more lots cut for their clients. Only could happen in Suffolk!

Adding private sector Executives to be new faces on the board of SPSA may well improve the operation so long as they are not the same caliber Executives that ran Enron, BOA and AIG, meaning that just because they are from the private sector doesn't mean they will do all that much better, although this group probably will. Did I read that SPSA was going to pay a Consulting firm $30,000 a month to tell them how to handle their money, I hope I am incorrect, maybe someone can explain.
