HIDE YOUR GUNS

HIDE  YOUR  GUNS

They will be on the warpath again, always finding a reason why some nut with a gun is reason enough to ignore the majority and eliminate guns. The National Rifle Association is preparing its boilerplate advertising materials for anti-gun control TV adds, again. The subject comes up on an irregular basis but the opposition to guns seldom miss an opportunity to defraud sensitive people into thinking no guns is the answer. Most every veteran of any war or skirmish disagrees, every hunter, any gun hobbyist, will be impossible to sell. But that leaves a whopping number of liberals and sympathizers that don’t think at all and could be compromised by a gifted orator who already fooled them twice. They put him in office and bought his Health Care mess.

A quick tip from an old soldier, clean and oil them as though they were going to be stored in a pyramid for a hundred years. That could happen so keep at least one handy, the French Army may invade us.

This just in.
Yet while those of us who defend the Second Amendment were respecting the heartache of the people of Tucson and waiting to learn the full facts of the case, anti-gun activists were renewing their push for more gun control laws. ("In the wake of these kind of incidents, the trick is to move quickly," the Violence Policy Center's Kristen Rand told MSNBC.)

The Wade here:
I agree. It is a scary enough that laws get passed in knee-jerk reaction to tragedies. Worse that politicians use them as opportunities.
I worry that many people to do not appreciate or understand the rights protected by the Constitution.
Some Americans are using recent events to attack the First and Second Amendments? Sad and scary.

How can you people in good conscious allow 43 excuse me 67 million Americans to risk death because they don't have healthcare? How can you allow them to starve and freeze to death in such a wealthy country? How can we allow our communities to become a shooting range for religious zealots, gun-military freaks and the insane? We should admit our mistakes by government taking every last dime and our dignity to nationalize the healthcare system, inflate the foodstamp program, underwrite housing, promote the welfare state, open the borders, dumb down the population, undermine the Constitution and take away any means you have to defend yourself from "your government". Sounds about right doesn't it.

Food for thought:
For as long as I can remember, in my own personal life, the adage, " it goes with the territory ", has been a reality. Every time a cabbie or cop gets wacked, people feel their pain, but all move on. However when it is a politician that gets the bullet, suddenly we as a people must change the constitution, we must infringe on our right to keep & bare arms. Always it is the democrats that start screaming, the guns, the fairness doctrine, do they have a special problem? Are they cowards or elitists, it would certainly seem so. A nation of 310 million, & a democrat exspects perfection from the citizenry, how about a little perfection from the democrats for a change.
Until then BITE ME

Guns, cars, mental people, & Muslims kill people it is true, but guns & cars do not murder people.

I don't know about the rest of you but this 24 hour network and cable news coverage of Gabriel Giffords is becoming all consuming to those that have no life and wearysome to the rest of us that just want the news. We don't want to know every minute of the day the color of her hospital gowns or that she saw sunlight, stood up or smiled. These are matters that belong someplace else. It's becoming another morbid Terry Shiavo life or death Story. For God's sake give her and her family a little breathing room dignity and privacy. If the media want to make money of people's misfortune be up front and create a reality show called Head Shots of the Rich and Famous.

Well said, What and how big will the media report the news IF something goes wrong. I have seen how the doctors have become cheerleaders when they need to step out of the spotlight. Provide a press release and then let the media report it if they feel it is "newsworthy". Because when and IF she suffers setbacks or worse, watch what the media does to the doctors. It will be as if they are the tea party or supporters of Palin, Rush Beck etc etc..
