THIS MAY BE AN EXPLANATION

What percentage of a President’s cabinet ever worked in private business, where ones’ experience is with real life business, not a government job? The lowest was Kennedy; only 30 percent of his cabinet had been in the real business world. By comparison 57% of Ike’s cabinet consisted of tested successful businessmen. Reagan 56%, Carter 32%, G.W. Bush 55%, Clinton 39%, Roosevelt 50%. All of the Presidents knew the value of genuine business experience except one, our current man in the White House…Obama 8%. And these people tell our big corporations how to run their business? They know what's best for GM, Chrysler, Wall Street, you and me. How can the president of the country with the most successful economic system in world history talk about business when he's never worked for one…or talk about jobs when he has never really had one? And neither have 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers! They've spent most of their time in academia, government and/or non-profit jobs...or as a "community organizer."

Very few successful people in management in the business world would give up their high paying jobs for a government job that may only last 4 years. And I would hope business managers who worked for Enron, World Com, AIG, Wall Street and the auto manufacturing business never have chance to get a government job. That does not excuse the Obama administration from not having more eperienced people in sensitive jobs. There may be to many working for the White House who have spent most of their life working the system, getting relative free law degrees, working as organizers and so on. But good quality, efficient and effective government employees do not need to have worked in the business world.

Show me a man that's proud not be a government worker and I'll show you a patriot.

The devil is in the details. When the bloated ranks in government retire how will we afford to pay their enormous pensions? Something has got to give.

When has the federal govt laid anyone off?

I didnt attend a fancy Ivy League school. I have been self employed before. If you dont have any common sense I dont give a sheepskin. In our adminstration we see what loack of common sense will get you. Now with that being said I dont understand all this mosque stuff and what all the fuss is about. Its simple to resolve.
Make it an ecumenical building.
OK
it will work out fine.
On Fridays, it can be a mosque for Islamic worship.
On Saturdays, a synagogue.
On Sundays, a church.
The rest of the week? Buddhists, Hindus, Taoists and Scientologists can schedule it amongst themselves.

Problem solved.

Which Christian sect should get it on Sundays?
Simple.
The 9/11 jihadists destroyed St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, which is not rebuilt.
Everyone can pool their money and with the price of real estate in New York what it is, this would be a fine multi-purpose use of a place of worship.
It’s the same God, isn’t it?

Under capitalism, the rich get richer or poorer and the poor get a chance; under socialism, the rich get poorer and the poor become enslaved.

Capitalism is the unequal distribution of wealth while Socialism is the equal distribution of poverty.

How you can tell if a person works for the federal adminisration is by the pointed top of their heads. These people grew up with this affliction called Pinhead and now have pencil to push against the rest of us. There are exceptions however, the head of our Treasury Secretary is more in the shape of an eraser, suggesting perhaps he has to undo what the others have already done.

When your friends can't explain why they voted for Democrats, give them this list. They can then pick a reason.

10. I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

9. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

8. I voted Democrat because Freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

7. I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

6. I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

5. I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies through abortion so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

4. I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits.

3. I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the democrats see fit.

2. I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some liberal fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

1. I voted Democrat because it is unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

Contrary to MSM myth, Obama is not exceptionally bright. My guess is just above average. If Obama's marks and intelligence scores were high they would be plastered all over the media. Instead they are under lock and key. This should be a huge red flag to all but the most ideologically committed.
In addition, Obama is intellectually lazy. He doesn't like the hard work of truly understanding issues and taking a stand on them. Did he write any papers or opinions in law school? If so, they are also under lock and key. He votes "present" on almost every issue and almost always has. He has left the crafting of virtually all of his government's "policy" (health care, financial reform, etc.) to others. He would clearly rather golf, vacation, shoot hoops and hobnob with celebrities than work on policy issues. He has a nice voice and is a skilled orator when reading a prepared speech. He is not a skilled off the cuff speaker and he stammers and makes numerous gaffes when he tries. It is clear that he is severely restricting his non-scripted appearances as a result of this. When was his last news conference? This despite the fact that his questioners are still largely sympathetic.
I would guess he was promised a relatively easy 4 years with others doing the heavy lifting, and that he would be set for life after that. Now he finds out its not as easy as he thought it would be.The people arent buying is message any more. Maybe the black community is but has their status gotten better? (jobs?) He is a one term manchild president born from affirmative action.Oh,one other thing. He has a nice crease in his slacks . Other than that you could find him in any city picking up cans and pushing a grocery cart.

Nobody in the White House has any experience creating jobs, and voila, no jobs are being created.

And you are shocked?

More blaming Bush yesterday. typical same old complaints for 18 months. :Jobs going ovrseas etc etc. Well Can anyone tell me why Democrats, who have controlled Congress since 2007 and have had a totally Democrat-run government with a supermajority for 18 months not already ended “tax breaks for shipping jobs overseas”?

I think we can look at major businesses in America and how wonderful business leaders are. Banks going bust, corporations larger than many nations going bust. Business leaders scamming their customers and cheating their stockholders. Government leaders are in many cases no better. Maybe it is time to elect salaried people to office and appoint them to high government office instead of the fools that we have place in these positions.
