THIS IS HOW TO FIX CONGRESS

Congressional Reform Act of 2010
1. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below. A. Two Six year Senate terms B. Six Two year House terms C.One Six year Senate term and three two-Year House terms
2. No Tenure, No Pension: A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office. 3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security: All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people. 4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan just as all Americans. 5. Congress will no longer vote them a pay raise, pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. 6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. 7. Congress must equally abide in all laws they impose on the American people. 8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 1/1/11. The American people did not make this contract with congressmen, congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work. Author Unknown

All good suggestions to help reduce the undermining of the political process. But be cautious it won't take long before the process could again be undermined by the election of a spouse or friend of a powerful individual. What is undermining the process is an electorate that doesn't vote, votes uninformed or who's vote is purchased.

I believe in no taxes paid no vote cast process. The welfare state will end one way or another. Bankruptcy or multi-trillion national debt paid by our grand-children is not an option. Citizens that chose to live on the dole and pay no state or federal taxes should no longer have the opportunity to vote national and state elections. If they decide to enter the workforce their privledge to vote would be restored. Citizens that do vote could be given an incentive however small to encourage participation. Mandatory military service of two to three years should be implemented to give our children lessons in teamwork, motivation, duty, responsibility, job training, and discipline. All of these character building attributes are greatly lacking in today's high school graduates.

Indeed Congress needs to be fixed. It is broken because we the public allowed it to be so. When we determine it's time to fix it, then we will then have a Congress we can live with.

Conservatism is dead some say. Liberlism surely isnt the answer.
So whats next? Ethnopolitics?

How about the Balkanization of America. Liberals go to the Northeast, upper tier States of Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin and the entire West Coast. Conservatives move to the Atlantic coast from Virginia to Florida and the gulf states. The other states that are land locked will just have to fend for themselves.

No matter what happens in the next election the current controlled Liberal states if they elect a Republican he or she will be a Collins/Snowe closet RINO. They are write off states that will never recover from chronic spending syndrome.

Senators Dodd and Dorgen are leaving for higher paying positions in some Obama Administration entity and/or as lobbiests ala Tom Daschele. Fat cats never disappear they re-invent themselves, landing squarely on their feet without consequence for their selfishness and callous behavior towards their constituents. If this was anywhere else, they would try to save their skin by packing their belongings and leaving the country. Here they are idolized heros where airports, bridges, hospitals and municipal buildings are named after. Oh if only Mama Dodd and Dorgen had a stiff hickory switch when they were growing up.
