HOBSON NOT GIVING UP SAID MARY HILL

SUFFOLK, VA - The City of Suffolk watches the destruction of Hobson Village, a Historical  landmark. U. S. District Court Judge Friedman Order, “the City of Suffolk represented that demolition of properties at issue would not occur until this matter had been resolved or the Court had offered further guidance.” The City of Suffolk has defied the Order by demolishing historic properties within the Hobson Village community. According to historical rights advocate, Mary Hill, the City of Suffolk has ignored and defied the residents inheritance rights to preserve, protect and renovate Hobson Village which has a historical right to exist. Hobson Village residents will attempt to block bulldozing of their historic community today to make the public aware of their preservation and restoration efforts; the is community under siege. The residents oppose the utter destruction of their homes, their lives, and that of their children, and their livelihood. Hobson Village have enjoyed a long history of being a safe, drug free community. Home ownership has been passed down by their African Ancestors who were subjected to the inhumanity of the institution of slavery. Hobson Village is a valuable historical treasurer; not only to its’ residents but to the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is a moral shame to continue to demolish Hobson Village homes and deceive the general public about the City of Suffolk’s deliberate discrimination against and deprivation of Hobson Village residents and their right to exist as a historical landmark within the state of Virginia. Hobson Village residents are private homeowners and have enjoyed a long history of being a safe, crime free community which has made a great contribution to Suffolk community.  Instead of preserving our history and legacy the City of Suffolk has chosen to destroy it!

Pock, is there real proof that a US Court Order has been ignored by the City of Suffolk? As a practicing attorney for many years, I find it difficult to grasp that such an order would be ignored, without serious issue by the Court. Do you have proof of this or is it just banter?

Provide proof and point to such Court action. If it exists, this would not be the first time Suffolk has been in touble, but I doubt it exists. We do have ignorant leaders, but I am unsure this ignorant.

Mary Hill has not shown a court order to "IS" but we printed her statement in fairness to all. We are not aware of any serious charge against the City action. Mary is a determined advocate of Hobson.

Would a cout order such as this claim of one, that the judge would copy the local DA of his ruling?

This is a land of two sets of laws. One of one group and another for the rest of us.

Agree with Local Practice. I have a hard time believing that the City would ignore an order from a Federal Judge. Because to ignore a court order would have the Judge come down on them like an avalanche.

Also the last I read was that the Federal Court dismissed Ms. Hill's lawsuit and she missed the appeal deadline.

Of course C Phillips Ferguson could careless.

You can bet that Mary puffed up this claim and there is no truth to it at all. She could never let such get by without screaming it to the roof and beyond. Local Practice is a learned study and has said it about right!

Pock, I suggest you delete all this as just a bunch of junk by a disgruntled party in search of a claim that just is not so.

Mary Hill thinks that the laws don't apply to her. She is always seeking to get something for free and she is always crying "foul." Her reputation precedes her.

How many of you knew that Mary Hill would play the race card? Please raise your hand.

I just got back home from the council meeting downtown and this issue was quite abit of talk. Mary Hill does not speak for all in Hobson and the issue is that she speak for very few since most asked to have building like Mary have to be torn down. They were not support of her and her bad words on slavery too. It was for all to see that Honorable Vice Mayor Brown do agree with these people to have the community improve and building torn down and they like the Mayor Johnson words too on this fact. Mary Hill was not to be seen and hiding from her neighbors who torn her word up. This was wonderfull things to hear and to let every body to know that Mary is a shame on Hobson. I like to see the Honorable Vive Mayor Brown nod in agreement with speakers and words that tell the truth.
