A DOLLAR HERE A DOLLAR THERE

Got a nice letter today from Scott Mills, head of planning, informing me I must spend about $350 to have my double septic tank give up its contents by calling one of eight certified experts. No threats at this time for failure to do so. My only complaint is that the mailing required the usual envelope plus five sheets of paper. Using just 37,000 households in Suffolk that misadventure required 185,000 sheets of paper, planning at its worst. The last timeI looked paper had two sides...a front and a back...the five sheets could easily have been reduced to a pair. One sheet had only my address on it. Is this worth a post on InsideSuffolk? Lord I hope so; City Hall is supposed to be reducing costs so that we might reduce taxes and every little bit helps. Right Scott?

The underlying message is the city is gathering information on the number and location of septic tanks in preparation to impose an environmental tax. Only the rich can afford a septic tank, the rural poor have privys. Like the Stormwater Tax scam it will do nothing but create another revenue stream for the city. The cost for the mailing is insignificant to them as they aren't spending their money, only ours.

Call it what it is, a tax on your body and bodily function. The city isnt providing sewer services. This adminstration is the one full of excrement.
Beginning with John Hancock, President of Congress, fifty-six patriots signed a document, sending America on its path to become the boldest, most successful experiment in self-governance ever devised. We celebrate our nations 234 birthday. Happy 4th of July Suffolk. Its only taken Obama and the liberals less than two years to commence to destroy it. Those on Wellons Street are no different.

Here's how the system works...the mayor spots Scott's infraction and calls Selena who explains this waste to the Assistant City Manager who then pays a cordial call on a very busy Scott Mills. Scott, still trying to understand the mayor's husband's interpretation of Transfer rules dismisses him with a wave of his hand and explains that it was the fault of an employee the city dismissed in 1958. So ends the matter.

Its about time all you hillbillies in the south and west ends of town pay your way. We in town are getting gouged for huge increases in water and sewer bills and you should pay for your's too. Our city mothers are always digging into our pockets for one thing or another so why not this too?

If you want to change things then get out and vote or hold your complaints. For to many years we have all seen how costs taxes and fees have been proposed and adopted, yet no one has anythign to say at the polls. If you want this kind ot thing to stop you have to vote out all of the incumbents. The new Suffolk Slogan goes like this: "Suffolk, the land where you can take it all" No one will do more that carp for a few minutes and they know it!

Excuse me, would you like to explain the term hillbillies.

Hillbillies: a plural noun that discribes the people of Suffolk who, time and time again, vote into office the same slugs year over year. Poster child: Mayor Johnson and her second, Councilman Parr.

As a wise sage said one: "When one does the same thing time after time and somehow expects a different result, you have the define the mind of a moron hillbilly". Given the poor state of our city leadership and their successful ability to get us to vote for them year after year shows that: "Suffolk, has a real problem and defect"! Just look at how impossible our leaders do things with something as easy as finding a spot for a new school. Some example, don't you think?

When you want to see a hillbilly pick for Mayor, you will note a picture of Mrs. Johnson, of about twenty years ago. We are forever going to suffer as long as we have such self-serving people elected to be our leaders in Suffolk. If we can not change this, I pray that Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and other localities will absorb our territories.

Enough said!
