“IS” came to life February 2008; neutral then but political events forced “IS” to admit being conservative. Under a new President with suspect credentials it became obvious that “liberal,” “progressive,” and “politically correct,” terms were gaining too much of a foothold...becoming more acceptable to voters in both weakening political parties. When the actions of the President indicated a slide toward “Socialism,” we announced our disapproval and did what we thought necessary; we took a stand against it.
We have not changed our minds and the recent election proves a large majority of voters fear the current administration has deliberately acted in a manner that weakens the country and drives us to depend upon government for everything. So if you picked the wrong bumper sticker two years ago you probably realize that with your help we can put the locomotive back on the rails and save tomorrow. Surely a better year is upon us. We wish you a happy one.

I was having a nice day until I read this article and was REMINDED just how many lies were told, how many promises were broken and what is happening to our country. Thank You Mr.Pocklington.
What comes to my mind mind is an image of all that trash left behind following the inauguration -an ironic portent of this poseur's presidency. He has trashed the Constitution. He has trashed American exceptionalism. He has trashed relationships with America's allies. He has trashed our dream of a better future for our children and grandchildren. We the People are just trash to be kicked to the curb - but not, of course, before culling every last ounce of taxation from us. For Obama, America is just one giant 7/11 slurpee to be savored before discarding the paper cup.
Obama has put America well on the path of our total destruction. We could withstand the armies of outsiders, but can we withstand the enemies from within?
What is critical to the surviving of the country is for the MSM to expose this empty suit. They built him up to be the messiah. They built him up and they can take him down, but will they?
With Obama all you get is a empty suit along with smoke and mirrors and Obama likes looking at himself.
The last local election was anything but a watershed of what is to come. All the incumbents were elected and the jury is out on Duman. Suffolkians are not risk takers. They will opt for the status quo even if it costs them their home and livelihood. The reason can be peer pressure, family or school ties, church affiliation, social networking you name it. Change is to be feared and undermined unless it serves the needs of the powerful that lines their pockets.
The problem in 2012 will be Obama has squirreled away billions through TARP, bailouts, special funding and pork projects. He will be calling in all those hundreds of thousands of chits, IOUs and favors when he runs again. His campaign will be well funded while his opponent will have been tenderized by the media and by his/her opponents during the primary and caucus process. On the home stretch, Obama will be in an envious position, rested, largely untested, with a campaign war chest, a heavily left biased media, leftist academia and the Black vote already nicely tucked away in his back pocket. Meanwhile the Republican candidate will be starved for cash and beaten to a pulp before election day. There's no way to stop it the damage has been done. Bob Dole's defeat by Bill Clinton should be an example to to all.
Happy New Year to IS. My resolution is to Never Give Up nor Surrender to the mental disease called liberliasm. I promise to teach my grand kids conservatism.
As of January 2nd Obama has spent nearly 48 percent of his presidency – outside of Washington…
(Washington Examiner) — On “Meet the Press” December 26, top White House adviser Valerie Jarrett said President Obama’s “biggest regret” is that the severity of the economic crisis forced him to “spend almost every waking hour in Washington focusing very hard on solving that crisis” and thus kept him from traveling the country to connect with the American people. According to Jarrett, Obama recently told aides, “I really want to figure out a way where I can spend more time outside of Washington listening and learning and engaging the American people.” Jarrett says that in 2011 the president’s schedule will “reflect that priority” — that is, include more time outside the nation’s capital.
But it turns out Obama has already spent nearly half his presidency outside Washington. As of January 2, Obama has been president for 712 days. According to figures compiled by CBS News reporter Mark Knoller, who serves as a sort of unofficial White House record-keeper, Obama has spent 339 of those days — nearly 48 percent — outside Washington.
According to Knoller, Obama has spent 176 days on domestic trips, 70 days on foreign travel, 58 days on vacation, and 35 days at Camp David. (You can add a couple more vacation days to the total before the president returns from his break in Hawaii.) Nevertheless, Jarrett claimed that Obama has had to spend “almost every waking hour in Washington” since taking office. The truth is more like half of that.
And the president will likely spend more time away from the capital in the months ahead. Jarrett is no doubt right that Obama believes he needs to devote more time to “engaging” the American people. But Knoller’s figures show that the people already see a lot of the president. Of Obama’s 712 days in office, just 45 days have passed without a presidential public appearance or statement of some sort, according to Knoller.
But even as he has appeared on America’s television screens nearly non-stop, Obama’s job approval rating has steadily inched downward. According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, Obama’s approval rating stands at 45.4 percent, versus a 47.9 percent disapproval rating. (The president’s approval rating in the RCP average was last at 50 percent in January 2010, last above 55 percent in July 2009, and last above 60 percent in June ’09.) In addition, polls show that voters disapprove of Obama’s handling of the economy, as well as other key issues, and also disapprove of his signature achievement, the national health care law. All the while, the American people have been seeing and hearing the president almost daily, sometimes two or more times a day.
So as he begins his re-election 2012 campaign, Obama can travel even more and engage the people more. But that won’t change the fact that many voters simply don’t like what he has done.
Personal thought:
I bet he has spent more time then 48% out of Washington and she forgot to mention that when he is in town he is having parties ,date night, playing basketball, golf having pro sports players over for a fun filed day of B .S. along with the other stuff that have nothing to do with being a president.
Let us not forget that he doesn’t even come to work until after 10 am and leaves by 5 pm.
Obama reminds me of a 3rd world dictator who arrives in a Benz where all of the natives appear and begin dancing and chanting some African dialect of praise of the moron who starves them to death or leaves them to the mercy of the UN troops.
Obama is a useless bum, moocher, full of himself, supported by the main stream media and the ignorant. Myy appologies to honest bums.
If he has been “focusing” so hard, and we are where we are, then it proves he is a total failure.
While the analysis is indeed reflective of the type of person occupying the White House. Does the average Joe and Jane Sixpack really understand or care? If the MSM doesn't make a big deal reporting these facts it will never gain traction and thus escape the attention of the government educated-dependent masses. In the past during the Republican controlled Bush years, nearly every day there was coverage of the Harry and Nancy Show with Chuck Shumer mugging for camera facetime. They attacked the president's agenda, belittling the war effort and demanded action from congress. The Republicans need to learn from that example and produce their version challenging the President's agenda with the facts, being earnes and frank about spending and the state of the nation and with sharp commentary. Failure to do so will result in a political beating in 2012.
“The receptivity of the masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.”
— Adolf Hitler
Think of what you just read. Then look at what type of thinking and actions that are coming out of Washington during the last two years.
Well boys and and girls: Got No Hope and got No Change (left)
Our debt on June 1 was 13 Trillion and now as of December 31 214 days later we are almost at 14.3 trillion. Look at it this wasy:
214 days=5,135 hours = 308,106 mins = 18,489,600 sec. That works out to $54,084.00 per sec.
What was the Bogart line about an American being down a little on his luck?
