GREAT SOLUTION FOR TWO PROBLEMS

Clean the air on Wilroy Road by collecting drifting stink and turning it into electricity.

H. C Yu and Associates claim the fomenting garbage air in and above our trash dump can be collected, converted to electric energy sufficient to power over 3000 homes and provide area jobs when completed, maybe ten permanent positions. It should be up and running by August to the immense relief of nearby neighbors. Even the trickle up theory is at work here. Temporary jobs for perhaps 60 construction workers plus maybe 300 more in other industries who contribute materials.

If only they could do that at the Washington House and Senate.

I said it before and will say it again. The cause of the cloud of bad smells in and around Wilroy Road is an atmospheric temperature inversion preventing the lighter more noxious gases from rising. This is a frequent occurance during bouts of cold to frigid weather. The rest of the year shouldn't be an issue.

The way this city thinks and spends Mr. HC Yu's firm will make bank generating power for a mere 3000 homes (at best) under the all knowing and watchful eyes of SPSA.
This idea stinks.

When you look at the website of Hc Yu and associates,I see no real engineering in industrial energy projects. I see lots of engineering projects on commercial buildings and quite few that are directly to state or Federal related sites. I also googled the names of the companies who are providing "financing" and we are looking at about 26 million as being the cost.In the article it is stated that that they will sell the power generated to Old Dominion Co-op. Thats not was is stated on the web site of GPC Energy.
"GPC Green Energy LLC has plans to construct a $26 million (firm is based in Maryland) cogeneration plant close to the Southeastern Public Service Authority’s landfill. The board of directors for the Service Authority has agreed to sell methane gas to GPC."

So which is it? Maybe the cracker jack reporters at the SNH would like to rebutt their story? Or at least stop believing in "press releases" provided by the concerning parties... YEA RIGHT
