PERFECT ANSWER

An annual contest is held each year at Texas A&M University calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term.

This year's term was: "Political Correctness."

The winner - with a great definition, was student who wrote:

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of dog poop by the clean end."

First off your post is completely false, put out in an e-mail in 2008 by an extreme right wing blogger as a joke. See if you can find any proof of any such contest at Texas A.& M. Here is one view of "politically correct" (mine):Political correctness started out as basic politeness and civility-a verbal manifestation, however overdone,of the "Golden Rule". Refrain from belittling and denigrating others as you would have them refrain from belittling and denigrating. Now political correctness is just a figment of the fevered far right wing imaginations.

The CM and ther Mayor think they can.

I think it might be a good idea to tell your readers that this article is a complete fabrication by a right wing blogger in Texas . It was written as an E-Mail several years ago. It's a shame the number of times I have seen purported truths on here that were easily diss proven.
I had a friend ask me to check out this sight. What a shame ,it could be interesting with the truth .

Thanks for clearing up who wrote it.
I HAD ALREADY CHANGED THE NAME OF THAT ITEM TO BE PICKED UP. But real or not it makes the point that politically correct is not correct.

So I guess you really don't care where the info comes from ,long as you agree with it by darn it,print it. If it turns out to be made up by someone completely different than who
you attribute it to,that's o k as long as you agree. Have I got it right?

No, and lets not make mountains out of molehills.

But it's funny and its the truth in the sense of what is being stated.I have seen it before and I am glad he posted it. It explains liberals and liberal thinking.

Anonymous said...

No I think you are completely wrong. It explains right wing radical thinking at it's best.It may be what you perceive as truth, but as many radical right wing extremest have yet to realize that does not make it true.Just because you want something to be true ,does not make it so my friend.

Funny Pock, mountains out of mole hills. That seems to be your specialty on all of your post.Maybe you ought to take your own advice.

Truth, you want the truth, you can't handle the truth! Rosa Parks was not the instigator of the Montgomery Bus make room for Whitey incident. At the time she was a secretary for the NAACP and was instructed ride the bus and refuse to give up her seat, the rest is "history".

What point are you trying to make? Rosa Parks should not have worked for the NAACP,she should have gotten up so a man could sit down. What is your point please. You are going back to 1955 for what reason? I am sure you think the civil war had nothing to do with slavery as well. Right?

one problem in this country certainly, is political correctness, which along with "tolerance" has become entrenched in daily life. Tolerance and its cousin diversity have become hegemonic in society, a dominant narrative which undermines dialogue with respect to truth. It's one thing to be civil and to strive for compassion, and quite another to deem it offensive to judge behavior, regardless of whether that judgment is sound. Political correctness threatens free society by encouraging “group-think” and by attaining conformity through intimidation and force.Anon: 8;54 sport, is you're ignorance preferred over rational assessment?
I am not from the far right as you seem to think nor would I be from the left. Take note I didnt say far left.
Eric Holder called Americans cowards when it comes to race and race realtions. So when many Americans such as myself responded to his challenge, we have been called racist.Does the response from liberals regarding Ft. Hood righ a bell? How about social engineering in our military?
A nation can survive fools and even traitors, but for how long can it survive subservient cowardice to political correctness?

When nothing is true everything is permitted. This is the core of political correctness. PC is a mind-numbing censure. It is the blindfold before the execution. It is the last cigarette before the firing squad. PC is the spear tip of all isms which seek to override the conscience, to censure freedom of speech and to cloud common sense. Anons, for evil men, their desire is to use political necessity to conquer all. They NEED free persons who live in a Constitutional Republic to willingly censure themselves.Political correctness is an approved form of censorship. Based on emotional appeals at the expense of reason, political correctness mandates that inconvenient truths or facts be swept under the carpet. Or Free speech, guaranteed to all Americans under the First Amendment, is on its way to becoming moot. The political, media, and intellectual elites who control the terms of national debate and the rules of civil society have succeeded in censoring opposing views, limiting debate, and demonizing dissent. Perception is on its way to becoming our new reality.

Anon:8:27 you proved exactly what you are against truth:
Pock here is the link:

However Anon might want to claim that this news service is not credible but then again the ABC networks including Fox dont have their own agendas? Now with all of that being said may I say that you PC types are nothing but weak spinless useful idiots, all. Can I say that?

Yes you are exactly right - Tolerance, diversity awful things. That free speech thing you say is going away, haven't seen that but maybe you can tell me how you have been quieted. I don't understand half of your diatribe it makes no sense. You know if only we could roll the clock back oh maybe 150 or so years we wouldn't have to worry about diversity or tolerance here in the south.Ultimately Americas answer to intolerant man is diversity which our heritage of religious freedom has inspired.

Excuse me? Of course, if one takes offense at their Christian saviour being displayed in a jar of urine, or the burning of American flag, or at being viciously heckled at a military burial, then the SCOTUS has no problem whipping out the First Amendment along with liberals from the far left. It did not help our the (American) cause when Obama put two unqualified idiots in the SCOTUS, one who actually stated: "some speech can be disappeared."
When muslims quit burning American flags and killing Christians, then I'll consider not using the quran as starter kindling for my pork chop and bratwurst barbeques. Until then, they can pretty much kiss my arse. How's that for turning the other cheek?
Not too long a ago, "Pastors" Terry Jones and Wayne Sapp were thrown in jail for refusing to pay a $1.00 bond ordered by a Michigan judge who upheld a jury verdict that they would "likely breach the peace" if they were allowed to carry out a planned protest at a mosque. This case will be overturned on appeal because the ruling is so patently unconstitutional. Nevertheless, the case is troubling for what it seems to portend about the future of free speech in America.I admire the fortitude of those two men by their standing for their right to do what the first gurantees them. See comment on speech to disappear.
Lets see. Try this one The "Fairness Doctrine" debuts on the internet, talk radio and TV. What could go wrong? Hmmm?
Remember that it is not the First Amendment that secures rights - those rights are inherent to all American citizens and are inalienable. Those rights are secured by our mere existence.
The First Amendment restrains government from infringing on our free speech, free press. We The People are NOT restrained.
The government IS restrained. I will offer this up as well regarding the 1st.The First Amendment secures our God-given natural unalienable right to liberty.

While the national debt limit was reached on Monday, between golf rounds our great leader was celebrating UConn's NCAA championship. Do you think he has a plan or are we going to play kick the can again?
