It's a Good Thing

Any time an elected official brings together the citizens that he or she represents, that’s a good thing.  So kudos to School Board member Enoch Copeland for taking the initiative to bring the citizens he represents together to share ideas about the school district budget.  Also in attendance were Councilman Jeff Gardy and Superintendent Milton Liverman and each assisted by providing information and answering questions.  It’s a good thing to see Team Holy Neck working on behalf of citizens.

School house Whitley wouldn't dare come out and take responsibility for his actions to angry parents and opponents. It would compromise his chances for another free ride and demonstrate his inability to grasp the issues. He'll just hole up and wait see who runs for the School Board. Like a turtle he'll poke is head out cautiously, look around and continue crawling. A nice guy with no idea what's going on.

Would there have even been a town hall in the Holy Neck Borough if it wasn't an election year?

Jeff Gardy must have gotten confussed and thought they called the "TEE-TIME" at the meeting. Mr. Copeland would make a much better councilman than Gardy and I am hoping he will run for the Council Seat. Now if we can get enough new people on council, maybe we can get the do-nothing, worth-nothing, say-nothing city manager out, we now have. I live in the Suffolk Downtown and will do my part to vote against Parr, for anyone else. Hop'in to see many new faces to depose the mighty mouse of a mayor we now have!

Also we are all wait'in to see them raise taxes, again!

Deb,

Do you know (or have an idea) who will be on the ballot as your opponents in November?

Also, who is preparing to run in the Suffolk Borough for city council?

Deb,

An organized meeting in the Suffolk Borough for parents would be a good start to your campaign. Debranski and the others don't seem to be doing much.

Answers to Questions on March 3rd and 8th, albeit late. (I was in San Antonio and Michigan last week.)

I would be willing to facilitate the discussion of prioritized ideas from citizens in the Suffolk borough. This may still be needed based on what City Council decides to support with the district's budget.

Also, I do not know of opponents yet. The filing deadline is June 8, 2010, so we will know by then who will be stepping up to the plate to serve the citizens of Suffolk.

As far as Council seats go, I believe that Councilman Parr will run again but I do not know who else will run for that seat. I've heard that Mike Debranski was going to run for the Council seat, but I have no confirmation for that.

Please keep the questions coming!

I read in the Suffolk Sun that Debranski plans on running for the school board again.
