A VERY REAL PROBLEM

Part of this situation is caused by the economy and lack of funding. At one end of the Suffolk city adventure in providing us with “culture” we have nearly half a million dollars going annually to our SCCA. At the other we have the Homeless Shelter. How much do you suppose they get?

This wasn't supposed to happen! President Rafikki with Acorn's guidance was to give us freedom from taxes, gas purchases, and rent. The Black community 96% voting for him was clearly duped (fooled) by them. The average American household is under economic seige by an uncertain future. Consequently they are not in the position to dig deeper into their savings prefering to keep charity at home. So the Feds will come to the rescue by taxing citizens and "giving" away millions to keep people dependent on big government.
The SCCA crowd in Suffolk owns the city council so why would anyone believe that they are not going to get what funding they want? The issue of the SCCA and their lack of any business plan, except to rely upon and spend our money is a true embarassment to all of Suffolk! It is time that the SCCA be cut off from the "Public Tit" and to go cold turkey. If they can't make it on ticket sales and other revenue generated within the SCCA project, then they should fail and a better use of this site be proposed. It is well past time to end the subsidy to the "Well-Healed" and look at who might better benefit from the millions we will spend on this TURKEY if the present policy does not changed!
How long will the citizens subsidize this failed and self-rightious group and fail to meet real needs of our citizens? It is time to be practical and cut them loose to swin or sink. I would predict that without our money they would sink like a rock!
Since the media created the Monster in Washington, they should be first to help charities. That is of course we assume they have a conscious. Come on SNH staff this is the change you can believe in.
Those who worship the Golden Calf in DC expect treasures in return.
Looks like our local media is about reporting shortcomings in our little city provided it doesn't ruffle feathers on Market Street. They love to drop the guilt bomb but when it comes time to ante up for a cause like the shelter their responce is silence. Always remember; Yes We Can!
The peanut industry was the first to take the economic hit. Now it's the pig farmers and processors. To control the damage to the industry we are TOLD not to call it the Swine Flu, it's the Mexican Flu. Taking that line of thinking backward, peanut farmers should have demanded to have called the salomonella contamination something else to mitigate their losses. Obviously they don't have the Obama Administration political clout that Smithfield enjoys. Folks please welcome Smithfield's pork products to the political boycott list.
