TIME FOR CONGRESS TO STOP BEING “ABOVE” THE REST OF AMERICANS.

1.  Begin by giving up your unfair and unearned special pension and instead          receive ordinary salary while in office.

2.  Congress (past, present & future) must participate in Social Security.  All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately.  All future funds flow into the Social Security System and Congress participates EXACTLY like other citizens. This money may not be used for any other purpose. Congress participates with the American people.

3.  Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4.  Congress will no longer vote themselves pay raises.  Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5.  Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

7.  All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12.  The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen.  Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.  Serving in Congress is supposed to be an honor, not a career.  The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.
Who in hell do they think they are?

Great lets start with our own Congressman Forbes and ask him what he thinks. Better yet instead of asking him why don't we TELL him with our vote!

Obama was all about income redistribution and fairness but when it came to federal benefits those cards were never in the deck to be dealt. So Congress and government workers enjoy a better quality of life than the average human. Similarily Romney will protect all the benefits those Republicans that put him into office currently enjoy. Barack Obama is Jimmy Carter's second term presidency, and Mitt Romney will be W's third term.

Locally this would be great but those... never mind...some one will call me a racist.

Consider also term limits of not more than 12 years per elected office. Two for Senators and six for Congressmen.

With an approval rating below 10% these idiots like Dingy Reid think they can create jobs? In the words of Dingy....The Senate plans to vote on the first component of President Obama’s jobs plan — $35 billion to save the jobs of public school teachers and first-responders — possibly as soon as this week.
I wish to hell someone—particularly one of the Democrats pushing this—would explain why a federal bill is supposedly necessary to “save the jobs of public-school teachers and first-responders.”

Public-school teachers are supposed to be paid by local property taxes. Police and fire-departments are also a matter of local funding. Why do these jobs suddenly have to be paid for with a federal bill? What the hell business is it of the federal government to pay for these local-municipality employees? You think becuase of Unions?

We would not be going thru this job job jobs mantra of Zero, Reid etc etc. I ask this. Harry, why don’t you introduce a budget once a year instead? It is your job, after all. You’re only about three years late.
All this is flat out money laundering. More union firefighters, teachers, construction workers=more union dues contributions.

Amen. Long overdue!

But it's going to take many more folks showing up at City Council meetings and convincing them that we are serious about waste, frivolous spending, and the growing financial burden of municipal government before anything is going to change.

The Tea Party seems to be the only folks who are serious about challenging elected officials about where they find the authority for such waste in the Constitution or the logic used to continually take hard earned money from wage earners to redistribute so much to others who refuse to pay for it (when they can)or can't pay for it but don't really need it. Welfare to folks with cell phones, cable TV, IPODs, and internet makes no sense!

Too many won't even stand up to overreach by elected and appointed officials in our own community so where is all this energy and commitment going to come from to reform Congress? Freedom isn't "free" folks. You protect it and challenge those who would take if from you --or you say "Goodbye" to it. What's it going to be?

JOBS JOBS JOBS Zero might as well be promoting lollips pops and unicorns.Everything is pushing for are jobs that are paid for by the states. Teachers, fire fighters policeman etc etc.The federals have two responsibilities, PERIOD! To provide for the common defense of the union of states... and to budget the tax dollars to provide for taht defense. The federal government has grown because politicians have moved into areas of state responsibility. Get out of them... and do your job as it is described in the constitution, not how you want it to be.

WE THE PEOPLE with our power, should set up a new gov't that will protect and defend not only the Constitution, but the people of the United States! The Republicans as well as the Democrats, are so corrupted by the special interests , money and power that they are all to blame. We should also have term limits on ALL politicians, to keep them from getting to comfortable in their positions in gov't! Capitalism not Socialism is what has powered America........the freedom of all Americans to pursue their dreams is in jeopardy because of the socialist agenda of this gov't

Word is that there will be another downgrading of the banks. Bank of America is a prime candidate. It apperars that the "Super Committe" will not be able to conduct business and we will be facing another increase in the debt ceiling. With that being said...
Suppose you come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup
in your home, and you have sewage up to your ceilings.
What do you think you should do……
raise the ceilings…….
or pump out the ****?
Your choice. Vote: November 6, 2012 and VOAI

(NY Times) — With Election Day just over a year away, a deep sense of economic anxiety and doubt about the future hangs over the nation, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll, with Americans’ distrust of government at its highest level ever.

A remarkable sense of pessimism and skepticism was apparent in question after question in the survey, which found that Congressional approval has reached a new low at 9 percent. The disapproval toward Congress has risen 22 percentage points since the beginning of the year when Republicans took control of the House.

A dysfunctional family if ever there was one…. send in the adults now, please. Recess is over....Re-Elect NO-ONE. We have term limits available, but so far ” We the People are too stupid to use them! See that tool is in OUR hands, not theirs!
