This is not a test of your memory but doesn’t it seem that the ink on his contract could not have been dry on Febuary 6, the day he joined the long list of forced to resign employees that previously had been toasted for their expertise. The odds on the new director, Deborah H. White, being a Suffolk employee longer than Dale have improved if only because she is female. And she is also experienced and attractive. Probably another acquaintance of Selena or Linda. The word on the street was Budget Officer Seward was to get the tap however several on council were taken aback with her sudden discovery of 4 million dollars just after this year's budget. Hopefully Ms. White will take out an employment insurance policy because Seward will hang her out to dry before council at the first opportunity. Enjoy your stay Deborah for however long or short it is.
Henceforth all financial directors will have the initials DW. This will be the law of the land so proclaimed by City Plantation Manager Cuffee-Glenn.

I am betting Seward was not tapped because she does not live in the City of Suffolk. Its pretty bad to have a budget Director that does not live in the City, but to have a Finance Director that lives outside of the City is even worse.
My bet is that Seward will eat her lunch within a month. How is it again, that we deserve people like seward and glen?

Apparently the firing of any "once qualified" employee is not done by the mayor. In this case, at least, the newspaper account names the city manager as the person in charge of the guillotine.

The real caculus is how much happier the staff would be with a new manager and how much the citizens would save?
